Whats an ICV (Idle speed Control Valve) gonna cost for an MY00...
#1
Had 2 or 3 occurances of a slightly hunting idle on my MY00 today, along with a couple of cases of missing/lack of power when crawling along in traffic.
As it's an MY00 I suspect it's the MAF but I thought I would have a look at the majority of sensors tonight and give them all clean.
ICV (Idle speed control valve) was a bit gunky and very sticky in movement. However, whilst cleaning, pulling and pushing the plunger it fell into several bits (Plonker).
Hopefully my local dealer will be open tommorrow so I can get a new one, if it's cheap enough. If not I shall just get a MAF from the dealer and get the ICV from a breakers.
why do these things always happen at Christmas.....when money is short and everywhere is shut
