Hi people i`m a newbie here and need your help.
I`m currently running a 1994 import impreza SA(light weight model)and i have a very poorly turbo. I`ve been offered a turbo off a 2000 U.k. spec car and my question is wil it fit and will it run o.k.
Many thanks folks
Nick

You sure its not an RA? Besides, the turbo on the RA that you got is the one people are after. Ask Andy F who's forever obsessing with it.

Can you give me a pic mate? I'm gonna hazzard a guess that its a saloon so I think its still gonna have a TD05 for that year. I think just don't quote me on that or you could take a peek.

Your car is a Wagon so it will have a TD04, the 2000uk turbo will fit as long as it is a pre97 Uk car.

If you are unsure of the original year of manufacture for the turbo, the one you need has a 90degree bend on the compressor cover, whereas the 97onwards cars have straight entry into the compressor cover.

Hi Katana,
Its a sportwagon, just been to have a look and can not find any letters on it. So i haven't got a clue. Is there any way i can tell just by looking at it.
Cheers

but if it is the td04 with a right angle you can just swap the compressor cover from the one you are getting.
