Engine & Chassis number

HI,
I need to rebuild my WRX engine(MY93), but the dealer will not provide me with any parts unless I can provide him with a UK Engine & chassis number.
Can anybody help me please?

Cheer up
I don't know where abouts you live but I'd suggest you contact a few specialist garages (like Scoobysport for example) who will supply you with all the parts you need. If your dealer gives you hassle, go to another one!
Good luck

when I had my Sti engine rebuilt (grrr) there was no trouble getting bits - try Grahame Goode Racing in Leicester. Seem to be pricey but they have everything.
Otherwide get the job done by someone like Roger Clark Motorsport or Autosportif - they'll have no problem getting bits.
Can recommend Roger Clark Motorsport - they did my rebuild.
Good luck -let me guess....was a big end bearing?

Don't want to spend STUPID money on it...
Car is already in bits, so I'm committed to the garage(good garage).
No, not big end, was over fuelled by a ECU change I had done. Suffered bore wash, ring land on the compression ring failed, broke away and went into the crank webs, scoring that too.
Not amused, but as the ECU was not fitted when she let go they are not interested.
But that is another story.
