Me again,
I want to convert the front end of my 94 WRX with the 97 onwards bonnet and lights. How difficult is this to do?
Exactly what parts do I need(apart from bare bonnet and bare lights)?
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers,
Nick

To convert a MY94 to MY97 onwards, you need the following:-
Lights
Front grille
Bonnet scoop
Bonnet vents
Bonnet
To fully complete the transformation, you need to change the bumper. That will require:
Bumper (of course)
signal lights
Spot lights

Thanks folks. Sorry, I meant that the bonnet would have the scoop and top grilles in already. I was not sure if the grille at the front was integrated into the bonnet. Do the lights harness in the same places as the old ones. Was wondering if I needed any miscellaneous bits on top of that lot. That red devil really does look tasty!
Thanks
Nick

Nick,
If u get they bits that should cover it. An yeah from wot I can remember the hanesses r the same, is u r intercooler straight or angled? If it`s the angled 1 it won`t line up with the bonnet scoop. Something else to bear in mind is that some of the early WRX`s inc mine have alu bonnets not sure bout the newer 1ns so u may b adding weight.
BTW glad u like it i`ve not finished with her yet though, still lots 2 do here`s full view of her as is.

Damn Pete, makes mine look a bit pants!
Have to check the intercooler, but loved one's just driven off with her!
Nice drive home. A colleague lives near me with nearly an identical WRX, both mit Jap Drainpipe exhausts. Nice to see everyone turning their heads on the Dual carriageway as we burbled past .
Thanks again,
Nick

Nick, not too much to add, but I have carried out same conversion on a UK MY 94 car. Very easy conversion., it,s just collecting the bits. New bonnets come without ventsd but I got a nearly new one from a breakers on a car that had been rear-ended. The lights use exactly the same plugs, so no problem there. I would;nt worry about the different angle of the intercooler, I have noticed no difference to performance. Your car will have an aluminium bonnet, as mine did, which are sought after, so you can recoup a bit of the outlay. Well worth doing. The only other decision is to go for the pre or post 99 model lights and grill. I like the pre 99 look, with the added bonus that parts are a bit more numerous. Get prepares for a lot of phoning round!mark
