It has been suggested i get a knocklink if upgrading my 95 WRX, can anyone explain the exact purpose of this please?

The main purpose of a Knocklink is to give warning of detonation which modified engines are vulnerable to especially if incorrectly set-up ie Fuelling incorrect(including low grading), Ignition too advanced, too much boost and inadequate cooling are just a few which cause these issues.

I remember a thread - something about a 10% discount for a month after the 8th January if you order something from Jap Innovations and order through Rich Wild?
Can someone confirm this cos if thats right I will be ordering a knocklink and sensor off them on the 8th Jan
