manifold available. Thinking about the performance increase but don't want to lose the Scooby Rumble.

Currently have Full SS decat, HKS SPF ind and Gems mapped. Would the Manifold push the Standard UK gearbox over the edge. Can't afford to be stripping gears!!

 

A tuned length manifold will make more power than a unequal length manifold but it will ruin the scooby flat four sound. it will sound more like a inline four. The extra power is normally between 15 and 25 bhp for a manifold ugrade and similar torque gains are also normal depending on the state of tune the engine is in. i would expect the gear box to have already have gone bang as i doubt this sort of increase in power will dramatically reduce the realibility of your transmission components.

 

Sith, there are various headers around, GRUPPE-S seem to be popular, I dont think there any that are exactly equal length including the HKS version so the scooby rumble is retained.

Do a search for headers there are loads of threads on which ones are available. Expect power and torque of ~15-20 hp / ft/lb's

PS the equal / unequal length debate is irrelevant in reality when it comes to turbo charged cars, certainly big differences on naturaly aspirated cars for equal length but not on Scoobs!
