My HKS RACING SUCTION KIT is now installed but..
#1
Hi, my HKS RACING SUCTION KIT came down yesterday, and it was installed in my WRX STI VERSION IV TYPE R COUPE, but I am having a problem with it, and I am not sure if it is meant to do it or not, as it wasn't like this before.
Basically, when I put my foot down, the car sort of slows down a bit, and it seems like it is sucking in loads of air, and then the power suddenly kicks in, so say if I put my foot to the floor, the car suddenly slows a bit, so you move forward, and then the turbo kicks in (after some air has been sucked in) and you shoot back in your seat. Is this normal? as it never used to be like this.

Maybe overboost or problems with the MAF?
Perhaps try reseting the ECU, someone on here will be able to tell you how to do that..
Can't really give a technical explanation sorry...
