Question

Car had a slight judder (kangeroo) and was sluggish at low rpm so decided to check the air filter was clean... in the proceeds I managed to break off a pipe connection.
It connects from the small plastic box which is between the inlet manifold and the curved rubber pipe which connects to the air flow meter.
On the drivers side end of this small box.
The pipe then runs to the side of the car and fixes to the bottom of another sensor type thing with lots of pipes connected to it.
Currently I am running with the hole covered with tape in the plastic box and the pipe open to the air... seems to have strangly cured the original problem.. intend trying to super glue it.
Anyone got old air filter bits laying around?
Or can anyone tell me if it is okay to put a small filter on the end of the pipe?
MY96 UK wagon...

Cheers for any help

Simon
