Question

Getting de-cated in the morning should I have any problems with tickover/running of the car, can it cause any problems for the engine.I appreciate that the noise level/fuel consumpsion will be affected. Sorry for my ignorance ,is there a very noticeable difference in accelleration, torque, delivery? Thanks in anticipation, car's a UK MY99 Classic with only mod Pipercross panel filter: new exhaust Magnex.

Smithers you will be smiling all the way home!!

You should not have any problems at all with tickover etc. Had mine done last week and no probs. I have an ITG filter and a decat. You will LOVE the sound and the turbo does spool up a bit quicker too.

Enjoy and dont worry, it'll be fine.

Thanks for the reply Derek, have you replaced the full system Im only replacing turbo pipe and b/box have been told by the mech that the centre pipe just makes alot more noise for no more grunt so does bother replacing them.He rally preps cars and drives a classic so I presume he knows the score.Cant wait by the way, a little christmas pressie to me!

i've got a full magnex decat and you're right, the centre pipe is just for a bit more noise. might increase by a couple of bhp but you won't feel it.
i changed my exhaust bit by bit over 3 weeks to gauge a difference (with the centre pipe on last) and to be honest the downpipe is THE major improvement, having said that the centre pipe just brings the noise up nicely and for the sake of £60 (i think) i'd do that aswell, at the worst you'll have a full stainless system and won't have to worry about it rusting.
worst time of year for doing it though mate, all you do is drive around with the windows down enjoying the sound

Cheers m8 Im on the original pipe and there is some quite bad surface rust so I will probably need the centre piece sooner or later anyway as you say only another £60.
