Car is 95 uk spec impreza, just had remap and new turbo boost gauge fitted, car reads 1.5 bar under maximum boost. Is this correct?I think its too high[around 20psi].But would the fuel cut defender activate at lower boost than that?Thinkin i may have a faulty gauge,or could the parameters of the defender been altered during the remap?Car is very quick but dont wanna see the lump go bang!!!That would spoil xmas!!
Ant info fella's?

Well, 1.5 bar ~ 22psi, which is a bit high IMO for a TD05 (?) unless you have the right supporting mods... FMIC, uprated injectors, etc.
If the ECU's been remapped, then the FCD I suspect wouldn't be doing anything anyway - the fuel cut would have probably (hopefully!) been raised within the ECU.

But whether the boost is too high or not would need to be answered by a TD05 'knowledge' (ie not me ) who also knows more about the car specs...
