Hi my 1995 scoob uk spec was missing above 3500rmp so took it in to subaru dealer who told me it was an 02 sensor gone, so i fitted 1 and it went ok for 2 days before the same symptoms cropped up for the last week if i run the car from cold it will hold back and backfire until it warmed up then it drove ok.
However tonight even as it was warm the backfire came back and had to keep stopping and looking puzzled under the bonnet, then i pushed on a square rubber thing near the air box and the car died then sprung into life again, which got me about 1 mile, i did this and limped home.
Im a newbie owner and wondered if anyone has any idea what this could be.
