I'm very intersted in a ECU upgrade/remap for a STi4.It has a SS downpipe and HKS induction. It did have a HKS SuperDrager but I removed it because it was too loud for me.Can anyone recommend who I should go to for the ECU fiddling?I'm very apprehensive about who I go to because of all recent meltdown reports, and that fact that every tuner reckons he's the only one who knows how to do it.If no recommendations anyone I should avoid?

Bob Rawle is generally considered to be the best for such a job, and can be found at BRDevelopments.co.uk or .com. He will fit and map the Link ECU at cost of approx £1200.
Other alternatives are the Unichip (cheaper), Motech chip (more expensive), and Power Engineering Phase One upgrade. All can be programmed to run on UK fuel safely, and give considerable power and torque gains (check ou the dyno runs on this site). Avoid the starchip/superchip brigade as they will probably blow up your engine.

Good luck

Mike
