Power steering pump is leaking.. weeping out of the pulley spindle..

Anyone got instructions on how to change?

The bottle/res o-rings look easy to change and I will change them too but I believe this is the seal on the front of the pump.

Have ordered one and it is in so hoping to change it tomorrow.

Mine has a similar leak. It's not the bottle as that's been changed - very easy thing to do I'm just ignoring the other leak for now, as it's not too bad. Did you get a new pump, or a new seal for the old pump?

May be worth investing in a couple of those brake spanner things (the ones with the nice hexagon ring with the split in it - sorry too early in the morning for descriptions ) for doing the pipework removal - they don't wreck the fittings like normal spanners can.

The workshop manual has a nice exploded diagram in it, but that's about it.

Yeah I have seen that exploded diagram..

Mine has covered the middle section of the cam cover with steering fluid

I am hoping it is like a crank seal.. remove the pulley and pull out old and push the new one in.. but I doubt it will be that simple..

Hoping I won't have to remove the pump from the car..

It is that simple. Undo nut holding pulley on, pulley pulley of spline, hook seal out with pick, push new one in.
