Wink

Just bought a Blitz induction kit for my MY94 WRX RA Scooby and was a puzzled at how the flippin thing goes on???

The instructions are in Japanese and the pictures are no help at all.

I am not sure if I leave the black plastic box on and connect it directly to the flexish pipe
or
Connect it after the plastic box.

If i connect before the box then i have 1 hose which is the hose for the boost solinoid and another hose which disappears under the engine?

Any help would be appreciated

cheers

Should be OK as long as its firmly in place - no problems with mine on an sti5

Then again I dont use a Mass air flow sensor as I have link - but Mass sensor is still ok

I may change back to standard sti box stuff soon as the performance filters are known to let in more gunge and can potentially damage the turbo - this is supposedly a problem on the Blitz - but I think this is a lot of hype - as I cant see how the design of say the HKS is any better?

Exclamation

I did have a look at old messages and saw that it does knock out the MAF on later cars but does not seem to on the earlier ones. Hopefully mine is okay, but it does make a big difference and I love the sound..

I also had a ITG panel filter and found that the oil from it was running to one end and all over the inside of the box. Was a little concerned of this as well.

Still not sure about the big plastic box whether it stays in or is taken out??

Plastic box stays in, MAF unbolted from air box and fits to Blitz filter.

Have to say tha Blitz filtration is not the best but it flows a lot of air. Best to remove plastic box and associated pipework from turbo every three months or so and clean everything out. Should have no real problems then. MAF is self cleaning (hot wire early ones) and so are not prone to failure. Later MY99 onwards are not.
