Flywheel refacing/Replacement
#1
I hope someone can help,
My MY94 STi version (54000 miles) will shortly be having its clutch replaced with an AP CP2000 + AP release bearing. I have been told to expect the flywheel may need refacing, or that they are often found to be cracked and need replacing. This might pose a problem, as I probably wont be able to leave the car at the garage while trying to aquire a new flywheel or whilst getting the existing one refaced!
What is required in getting these flywheels refaced?
Supposing I did have to get the flywheel replaced, how would engine/performance charachteristics change using a slightly heavier/lighter item? (-or would it be risky to entertain this notion without need?)
Whats everybody elses experience of this?
Regards
Alex

I had my clutch redone at Scoobysport and the flywheel was dead. Pete normally has a couple in stock, standard and you can get it lightened if required.
