MRT Cold air duct - cut & shut to airbox??
#1
I`ve got a 97MY with ITG filter.
Was thinking of getting an induction kit - Saw an earlier post about the above mentioned tubing with the standard airbox and `high flow` panel filter. Get the air flow / filtration without the noise!!??
Did anyone with the tubing cut&shut to the airbox or does it just `point` at the `box?
If cut & shut whats the risks of water ingress as the pipe is connected to the brake duct opening.....standing puddle, water up the pipe - engine goes pop!

Hi James,
Yes, this is a real risk. One guy overhere who tunes Scoobys once tried this. He got water into the engine. IMHO you don't really need to ram the air into the filter. As long as the airvents supply cool air to the inner wheel guard you're okay. This way the risk of sucking in water is minimal. See the sollutions with open airfilters placed in the inner guard.
