After searching through this venerable BB, I still haven't found what I'm looking for (good title for a song that).
My clutch travel (94 WRX with 52K)is a few MM from the top, with judder in 2nd on a downhill start. Though not slipping, I think it hasn't got much time left. So i'm planning ahead.
Though AP and Helix aftermarket get good reviews I need some places that will fit either of them in the West London(ish) area. I live next door to Power Engineering and they have quoted about £700 inc VAT.
Those guys are probably the best.. but with Xmas only a few days away, I could do with saving the odd shilling or so (to feed my wife and kids and maybe buy them a present or two).
I'm taking it in to PE for a service shortly so I'd like to get both jobs done at the same time. Clutch first, I think, so that they have a good machine to tinker with.
So gentlemen, do you know of any good and experienced garages around that will be able to sort me out? Will I save much from the PE guys?
Or will 'Mr Clutch' get my buisiness?

This newbie appreciates your time.

Al Cook.

Cool

If you can trundle over to South London then i can recommend you a top mechanic. Other than that some people speak highly of MA Developments (which is much closer to you)

Whatever you do, dont go to Mr Clutch

Try Dave West at Risboro 4 Wheel Drive, not far from you just the other side of High Wycombe. His labour rates are cheaper than PE and he is ex-Subaru dealer. Give him a ring for a quote on 01844 274652.

Guys, thanks. I'll try Dave West today.
Sunil, only joking about 'Mr Clutch' I don't hate my kids that much!

Any other suggestions?
