RAMAIR FILTER How do I clean it?

I'll try again...this time with slightly better spelling 
Does ANYBODY know how to clean this filter??
Last time I asked knowbody did
It was the one the Scoobysport sold ages ago.

I think I have a paper Ram Air in my airbox. Only had a quick peek! Tis blue with red surround. If it's paper, then you don't clean it.
The only filters I have seen cleaning stuff for are the K&N series. The other filters go in the bin when dirty.

Ramair are in Castle Donington, but I don't have their phone number.
The process is to wash it out in a bucket of petrol, leave it to dry for half a day and then work Ramair's oil into the filter.

If you have a foam pod filter element DO NOT wash it in petrol as it damages the foam and "expands" the pores (which can allow dirt to enter). If you have already done so I would suggest throwing it away and buying a new one. The method to washing foam elements is to wash in Mineral Turps (low flash solvent) to loosen the oil/dirt, THEN wash a couple of times in dish washing liquid, then rinse thouroughly in water. You may have to spend time picking out the little bits of dirt that get left behind.
After the filter has dried I recommend reoiling with a motocross air filter oil as these are great quality and dont "fall" out of the element. When oiling, avoid twisting the element as they tear easily, just squeeze it through, then squeeze out the excess. When done properly it should feel lightly oiled and if "tapped" with your finger you should be able to see the oil "stringing" off the filter after a minute or so. After years of dirt bike racing experience I would recommend brands like Motul or Belray air filter oil. If these arent available in your area then Shell or Castrol would do fine.
