i have a feeling my power steering belt has gone, when on near full right lock i get a very loud whirring noise (only on right lock and not left)...not being massively knowledgeable on tech issues thought id ask here!

 

Firstly check the steering fluid is at max(This sometimes makes the noise you discribe...Kev.

 

Will do, but i check all my fluids once a week religiously so it should not be low...
will let u know, don't want to buy a new power steering belt unless it needs it-but saying that i do not know what condition it is in!
