MAF sensors...
#4
There seems to be a plague on MAF sensors at the minute. Mine included. Normally failing with aftermarket filters or induction kits fitted. V5 is the same as far as I know but warrenty should cover it.

Thanks for the replies...

ITG filter was on the car when I bought it (5000miles)
Removed the blanking plates on the bonnet along with the resonator box at 6000mls - air therefor entering via intake under indicator.
Wire gauze was cleaned...very dirty...and fitted Pipercross Ind kit at 12000mls and also reset the ECU as overboast was cutting in...(the day before Donno)..car has ran fine since with less Knocklink activity.
MAF failed at 13500mls... My theory (haha) is that the low intake level plus bad weather plus the possibility of getting grime on the sensor during cleaning of the gauze may be the problem... or possibly not... just don't want it to happen again!
Cheers
jase.(thought a no.3 had turned to pie)
