Will be getting the car serviced soon, is there any point in getting after-market sparkies or should I just stick with the standard items?

If your engine is standard, then not really much point in replacing with higher grade ones as you are not about to get any benefit from them. Save your money in that case, help pay for the service!

Not quite standard, a few minor mods, exhaust and de-cat, induction kit and a re-map on the way early next year. Just getting some items together ready for it.

You may find the engine performs better with the mods using 7 grade plugs. Some people even use 8 grade, it depends on levels of tune and use.

Is there any particular brand you would recommend, I have been looking at the Hks iridium (spelling?) plugs?

NGK PFR7B are what you need. Standard spec is NGK PFR6B.

Si

Your car is about the same tune as mine (currently)

I run NGK PFR7B with no problems
