Question

Hi,

The last couple of weeks, I've noticed a rather high pitched whistle. This only seems to occur when the engine is at idle, then fades on acceleration, or slight increase of revs!

It also appeared to alleviate itself for a few days, but I noticed it again yesterday.

UK 99 turbo, only mod is full Sccobysports system. Could this be an issue with the turbo, or perhaps a leak in the downpipe?

Cheers.

Anyone got any idea's or experienced something similar??
I have a 2000 mile trip to make early Jan, so don't want any engine problems!!

I have a high pitch noise from the engine but only when cold and it goes after 10 mins. never bothered me but i think it's a belt noise rather than turbo/engine.

It could be a leak; & maybe worth taking back just to have it checked over. Very simple to rectify

Alternatively you could just be hearing the wonderful sound of the turbo spooling up

Best to get it seen to though..........
