Richie....what are your symtoms as i think mine is faulty aswell.
On my wrx, boost drops to actuater spring pressure which is about 8psi indicating the soleniod is sticking.
Also when i carried out a 'read memory' test the code came up faulty wastegate soleniod.

Ive not got any fault codes or aything but Ive suspected for a bit it was on the way out.
Rich at PS suggested it was shagged too and explained it as not holding constant pressure, it seems to fluctuate. Not badly, just about 1 psi or so, but noticeable.

You can just connect one of the pair of connectors under the dash and put all the electrics into mad-cow syndrome, with everything operating in turn! Problem is, can't remember which - the green or the black. Search for posts from Steve Lawson (SJL?) or me - he originally helped me.
I just removed the tubing from the solenoid, turned it upside down and filled with cleaner while running with the plugs connected.
You should also clean all the tubing thoroughly while you're at it.
