Question

Ok, my flamesuit is on, and I'm wearing my coat and standing by the main exit, so I'm ready ask probably the daftest question of the year. here goes:

The black beast is quick, and nice, but the 'more power' demon has popped up on my right shoulder and started whispering in my right ear.

I know that I could chip it, link it, uprate pistons, rods, etc... but maybe it would just be better to slot in a more powerful engine, eg one from an STi, which would give 280hp.

Is this possible/viable? Guess it depends on the exact engine, so lets say one of the slanty intercooler STi engines (when did it change to non slanted ic?). Can you just drop it in, in place of the existing unit?

Am I barking mad, and is this really as daft as it sounds? (yes - the whole scoobynet community cries ) or is it feasable?

Oh, the car is a MY94 WRX Wagon. Thought I'd better mention that.

Question

I think (joining you by the door, jacket zipped up!!) that the intercooler changed at MY97.

I think you can just slot it in, but Pat is really the man to ask.
