Do I have the correct ammount of oil in the car?
I filled to the level recommended i.e just over halfway between the low and full marks on the stick, then I start the engine and allow to idle for 5 minutes, switch of and check the level after one minute, oil barely registers on the stick at all, so I top up to half way between low and full again.
This means that when cold the oil is over full,but would seem to be fine while warm.

Assuming your car is an Impreza Turbo .

Simply get the correct amount of oil(4.5litres) with filter change and you
should have no worries at all.
