After a spritied drive yesterday after fitting a new SQV I lifted the bonnet to check all connections were sound and noticed that the ic turbo pipe was seriously hot and that can't be good especially as the turbo pipe goes directly over the intake pipework and as thats made of metal it must absorb some of the heat.
My question is would fitting some thermal sleeving of some description over the turbo pipe be a good idea? and if so then where do I get it???? fmic is an HKS by the way.
Cheers
Jake.

Well...
you could try some reflector type stuff - Demon Tweeks, etc. do that sort of stuff. The tricky bit with metal pipework is that it does tend to absorb heat, and if you wrap it & the heat does soak through, the wrap will also hold the heat in
It's probably not worth being too concerned, though, as the charge passes through at quite some rate & is unlikely to pick up much heat! Possibly keeping the heat 'in' the turbo (wrapping it) may be a better move than trying to keep random heat out of the IC pipework?

I got mine here Rally Design
Go to the Powerwrap page and it is called Power Sleve, choose the bore size and off you go.
