Question

Ive just been doing a bit of research and have just read that its not advisable to fit a DD to MY01 onwards due to the catted uppipe and smaller injectors compared to the classics.
Im fitting decat up/down pipes soon so the uppipe wont be an issue, but is it true about the injectors not being able to cope with the raised boost at partial throttle.
Any extra info on this would be mucho appreciatedo

I had my MY01 WRX running 19psi with all cats in place for a while with no problem.I've since turned it down to 15psi and am waiting to see the difference when i get my decatted up & down pipes fitted next week

I've been running my MY01 WRX with decatted up/down pipes and a dawes for over a year and a half now, the only thing i have noticed is when the car has the memory cleared by the Subaru garage an error appears saying "the left bank running lean". I havent had any problems. Also ran at 17psi just under fuel cat, running 15 at the moment now though.

Go for it and enjoy the extra power!!!

It's not a good idea to run heavilly increased boost with catted up-pipes as it leads to increased EGT. This may in turn lead to the up-pipe cat breaking up and throwing bits into the turbo - resulting in a dead turbo. Has happened to a few people, particularly in the USA.

The injectors are good for a little over 300bhp and similar torque. There's a lot of people running around 1.2 bar from ECUTEKs with decats (me included) on standard injectors - so as long as you stay to that sort of boost level, it ought to be OK. You can get a little more out of the injectors by running an uprated fuel pump and regulator if it comes to it.
