Unhappy

i've got a my99 with a full exhaust system including front cat replacement.
However after a while (months) thick white oily smelling smoke comes out whilst at a stand still. I put the front cat back on and it stops!. Replace it again and after a while the smoke reappears. What the hell is going on.
The local Subaru Dealer says that the car is very efficient.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to cure it.
cheers

It's probably just water vapour/condensation. If it only happens when you leave the car idling for ages then it's probably nothing to worry about.

If it happens whilst you are driving the car once it's warmed up, you should get it looked at by an expert.

Is this when the car is cold? My car is like 007's with smoke screen when the weather is really cold, but OK when it's mild. I've got a straight through system too. It was OK before I replaced the downpipe.

thanks for your replies

it smokes when hot e.g going down m5 come across traffic jam after 5 mins smoke screen!!
the garage have tried for a new turbo from subaru but all subaru say is that they have never had a turbo blow and they won't even consider the idea.
it now smokes with the cat on. there is something wrong somewhere.
lost count how many times it has been in to be fixed.
thanks again
