Torment,

What prompted you to change it?
Did you fit it yourself?
Did you reset the ECU too?

Sorry if too many questions...

Vindaloo.

VINDALOO......I changed the MAF becouse....The Engine was starting to hunt,Whilst warming up from cold,(I removed the maf,Cleaned the two eliments with a compressor/parafin gun,Containing petrol..On a low pressure,Then blew dry,Re-fitted to car and all was well on the warm-up side of things,I also noticed....Whilst accelorating,Sometimes the car would pull like a train,At low revs,Next time,It would feel "Dull/Flatter than norm".....
The job is pretty simple(takes around 20 mins or so)...I re-set the ecu...By leaving off the battery for a couple of hours...
I did`nt want to take a chance on just leaving the maf,After the hunting..As one never knows when your getting a weak mixture,And our engines "Dont like weak mixtures" do thay...?.
The specialist told me...That a maf would prob...Need changing after 3 years anyway...But it has really transformed the vehicle,Back to normal......Kev.
