This refers to the duration the cam holds the valve open in degrees of crankshaft rotation. Sometimes expressed at a valve open height of 0.050"

Phase 1 or Phase 2?

Some cams cant/shouldnt really be used with std valvetrains.

Not sure what they were listed for but if i was to buy some Cams they would be going in STI V4 heads with uprated valvetrain. Just dont know what to do with the short motor side of things. Its a choice between the US STI 2.5 block or Using my closed deck block to do the 2.33 thing as i have an EJ25 crank lying about aswell.

I would be buying uprated pistons & rods. I assume the 2.33 would be a fair bit more expensive than just doing the US STI block with uprated pistons & rods? I am new to all this scooby tuning & any suggestions & help is much appreicated.
