front, rear antiroll bars

I ve just fitted the anti roll bars on mine 22 front 20 rear i havent had the geom done yet as i also fitted the antilift kit but already feels er really firm.

Zsolt, give Scoobymania a call. They are importing MRT stuff at excellent prices. Have you tried a search? I seem to remember someone posting something up about this before,

Be careful with uprating your anti roll bars... you can go too much (in size).... which will ruin your handling in the wet, etc...you need a little roll...

I'm supposing you need the roll in the wet so that the tyre is "squeezed" against the road, whereas in the dry (and esp on tracks) you want the car to be as stiff as poss ?
is there such thing as an adj rollbar ?
or is the rolling more to do with stiffness of springs?

22mm ..... hmmmmmm .... check out the STI anti roll bar ..... might be cheaper.
22mm ... I think that is STI car anti roll bar.
Standard should be 19mm front and 17mm rear.
Can someone wit STI car measure the anti roll bar D on their car ...... just to be sure.

I would suggest doing the bushes first...
Do the cheap and simple things first...geometry settings...bushes.... etc..
The STI's have "rose jointed" front links.. albeit thin/crappy ones..
I had thought of manufacturering fully rose jointed ones.. I deal with bearing companies quite abit...and could fabricate some up...
I run spring steel rear links with uprated bushes... not really needed on the STI.. I think the plastic ones are fine (but the bushing does need to be changed).
You could try the prodrive Magnessium alloy ones... lol

No way, I like my turbo !!!!!.
If your springs are in very good nick, Leda may just swap them. Worst case, about £60pr.
Have you got the standard spring rates. Is it front, back, or both you want to change. What settings were you running at Donnington.

Howdy....
I had the geom settings done...well worth it...But which way now?
Bushes then the anti lift?(My F/roll bar bushes need to be replaced as I keep hearing the clunking from the front)
Or both together?
On the subject of roll bars what size should I aim for ? (MY93 WRX)
And which link should I go for ?
The Steel ones from MRT? I don`t think the plastic ones are much cop.
Asking u `cos U seem to tried the majority of options, and I don`t wanna waste me money on the wrong parts....

But I would suggest the Anti Lift kit.... the roll bar bushes... and if you want to got the whole hog fit new links and roll bar..The STI have larger roll bars over the UK cars anyway
22mm bars will improve the handling and roll in the dry.. but you will be sacrifising handling in the wet (IMHO)... But it does depend on what you want..
The best thing is to find someone who has changed their bars....and see...

I've just done a couple of mods to my suspension (Leda 'B').
Firstly, the STi4 '98, runs 19mm fr, and 20mm back AR's.
I was considering changing the back to the MRT (Whiteline) 22mm, but thought I would try the uprated drop links first. I also fitted the ALK to see how that performed. I'm very happy with the Leda set up at the front, but feel the back needed tightening up.
DROP LINKS:
Look cheap, and poorly finished. Very easy to fit.
The difference is imediately apparent. The rear is now MUCH harsher than before. They have tightened up the back, and this will be better on the track. I won't go for the 22mm rear bar now. I suspect that the combination of Leda, and the MRT kit, is just a little OTT for the road. The MRT kit on it's own, would be a massive improvement.
ALK:
WOW. I thought the way I had set up the front was amazing (425lb springs/re-valved) But the ALK has transformed the car on the road. I've yet to try it on the track.
Even on the hardest accleration, the front doesn't lift anymore. It feels far more SET on the road, and the turn in is sharp, and direct. I'm still running with the same geometry ( - 2.5* neg' cam') and I may well try reducing it.
The ALK would improve any car, regardless of suspension mod's. As for the rear ARB, I may well try the 22mm (just had a thought) but retain the original drop links. I think this would help on the track, but not be too harsh on the road.

I was gonna drop my fronts on the back.. and get 400's for the front... I really want to uprate the rears...

Rear sway bar adjustable 18 -22mm
