Question

Anyone know if an STi VI ECU will fit an STi V, or is it the same?

I'd have thought that would be fairly expensive if each ECU was bespoke.

I thought that two ECUs even for the same model are not the same - each adjusted to suit the individual engine. Isn't this true?
If not, might I consider using a STi ECU on my WRX?

Cool

Howdy

The engines on the V and VI are the same ?

Hence the same ECU...

All V ECU's are the same... all VI ECU's are the same, etc... interchangable..

DAZ,

I was thinking along the lines of new VI ECU might have a better map than the V.

Wink

Firefox - Thanx ...*git*

WRX will not be able to used the STi ECU even if the connector r the same.

The car would be able to start and drive but .. it will run rich.... do try it. U will notice the ignition timming advancement r different between ECUs . Even the injector and Air Flow Meter r different.

Some STi cars run extra sensor...ie. Air Temp. Sensor.

Version V and VI .......ECU ... hmmmm... I have no idea about that. Look into the engine bay of both cars and check if the sensor, injector .. air flow meter r the same.

See yaaaaa ...... bye.
