Adam,

I would recommend that you do a search on this BBS for differing models of air filter (typing "air filter" by itself brings up too many responses).

Some searches to try:

induction kit
panel filter

Ramair
K&N
HKS
Pipercross
ITG

The search facility is under the "Post Reply" in the top right-hand corner.

There has been a lot of posts relating to this subject and this would help you in choosing a new filter.

I hope this helps,

Thanks

Gavin

I am looking at buying an air filter/induction kit for noise reasons. Can someone recommend the best one from experience.

I saw an advert for blitz which I had never heard of before. They look impressive and seem to cater for japanese turbos specifically. I also have no idea on prices.
Do they give significant power increases?

well, for noise reasons i would go for the pipercross induction kit, if you want loud sucking sounds under hard acceleration and loud "exhales" when changing up then this kit does the job.
I had one fitted and did not notice any obvious power gain, but it seems better at motorway cruising speeds.
