Aftermarket up pipes & down pipes

Could anyone tell me what the difference is between the standard exhaust up pipe and the aftermarket ones and what the difference is between the 2 types of downpipes ie. 1 large hole from the turbo as opposed to the type with the entry hole separated into 2.
