Picking up my new STI8 at the weekend, boy is this a long week! I was wondering what oil to specify at the 1000 mile service. Most people recommend semi until 10,000 or so and I can understand the reasoning, switching to fully synthetic there on. But what semi should I go for? I want the very best for me new toy!

 

Suggest Shell Helix Plus 10w:40 semi synthetic, do not use fully synthetic until at least 6000 miles have passed.
