clutch judder is normal.. you might be abnle to claim if still under warrentee..
separate to the stiff gearbox mostlikely..
check the gearbox oil level.. drivers side of the intercooler, little dipstick.. top up if low.. if okay then refill with a good oil like Castrol Syntrax or Rock oil..
Castrol solved my stiff (ooeeer) in winter box.

my car is still under warranty until nov 03 when it will be 3yrs old do you think its worth taking it in to a main dealer or is changing the oil going to improve things

I would get them to check it..
I believe the clutch judder and stiff box to be unrelated..
but if it is under warrentee then get them to check it..
Clutch judder is a common fault.. they all do that sir.. but they should change it under warrentee if you persist.
Stiff box I would put money on the oil..

mine is the same, allthough the clutch judder has gone after elvington and the stiffnes has got worse. Got new gearbox oil in last week.
So i think it is the clutch, anyway its going in for a warranty repair.
