Car working fine until a few mornings ago when it started and the oil pressure warning stayed lit. Dont think its the sender as the car sounds tappety like justfater an oil change. Wont start it again, is full of oil and no leaks, so Im guessing relief valve.

Anyone done one of these, is the valve on the pump and can it be done engine in?

Cheers

Andy

If it is the releif valve stuck, you will have to remove the cam belt & covers to gain access to the pump. The releif spring & ball is in a drilling diagonally across the casting. It is "NOT" one of the two hexagon caps on the bottom of the pump.
Chances are when you did the oil change, it disturbed a bit of carbon deposit and has floated round the system., may I suggest another oil change with use of a "flushing oil" to help break any more of these little critters up!
