Dont wish to start the next world war off please, but ..
... some of you will know i have bought the new US 2.5STI short block for my car. This will go with the rest of my UK ancillaries and accessories that are on the car at the moment.
It wont be happening while christmas, but the big question is, Which Turbo?
I am intending to run my 304 for a while, just to see what happens, but know doubt will change soon after.
Thoughts and good reasons why please guys. Would anyone be able to work out airflow etc, and put it in plain english
Cheers
Steven

Email me and I'll email you a spreadsheet I made where you can put in cc, RPM, VE and boost to work out what CFM you need at what PR. Makes reading compressor maps easy. Also consider the hot side of your turbo too.

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
if changing then then I would look at something like the md321 assuming the exhaust side is up to the job for the 2.5
the other options involve custom exhausts and this was a budget upgrade..
remember more reliabilty, not more power

The iON Performance turbo that Harvey is using would be an excellent choice for a 2.5 in my opinion. It is now spooling to 1 bar in 4th from below 3500rpm and running on to make just under 500bhp.
With the extra capacity on a 2.5 the spool would be improved to approx 2800rpm

I know it has a garrett core and some HKS parts. You had best Email Harvey as I know it has changed spec a few times

PS for reliability you really want a TD04
