4 door and 5 door ECU difference?

read on a scooby website, that a STi wagon ECU is mapped different then a Saloon one due to the higher payload, therefore a Saloon is slighty better performance.

is this the same with a UK my99/00 (801/802) ecu's? or are they identical and can be swapped ok?

No difference on 99/00. Were the earlier ones different because the wagons had high compression and TD04s?

Some were depending on MY, an STi ecu isn't compatable with a UK car without messing with the wiring. STi4 wagons were 250ps with 9:1 compression, STi2 wagons (some) were 260 ps with 9:1 compression ... I had one of those.

STi5/6 wagons were all back to 280ps.
