HELP - oil all over the place!!!
#1
On the bottom of the block as you look up towards the tubo there is a half moon shape hole. The one on the passenger side has a rubber seal but the one one the drivers side does not!! Only noticed it today when playing with the headers, it wasn't present when we started so decided to match the other side and plugged it with a rubber bung. When we had finished playing with the headers let the car warm up on the drive when oil starting dripping all over the place. Found that the bung is no longer there!! I cannot see why it would be dripping oil now cause it was never there in the first place.
Does anyone know what this is, where I can get a replacement bung, if I should put a bung in?????
I am trying to post a pic but having trouble with fotopic.net at the mo.

They are easy to push in when changing the uppipe/headers - don't ask me how I know Time to take the rocker cover off, and fit a half moon and sealant. Get them from your Subaru dealer.
Without then the car will throw oil everywhere. They are dark and black and shiny, and I wonder if it was there before but could have been pushed in a bit. If you take the rocker cover off you might find the old half moon in there, but it will probably be a bit damaged from being pushed in.

Thanks for the reply John. I didn't want to start removing the rocker cover but since there is now two plastic half moons in there I think it would be best to
You are right about it throwing oil everywhere!! The drive way is a mess

join the club, I've oil in my induction pipework & loads of blue smoke out the exhaust.....I'm positive mine is turbo related but I had to get rescue & recovery yesterday, started stripping down the intercooler/induction pipes & exposed the turbo for removal later this week
