Question

Need to help my STI box last a lot longer, what is the best synthetic oil to use? The car gets a pasting on starts with 5000 rpm and - dump - the - clutch methods. Any ideas on what is best (for the diffs too)
Graham.

Unhappy

I tried Silkolene full synth. in the gearbox of my 99my and got crunching when changing from 4th to 5th at above 4k Needless to say I changed it quick to Castrol Syntrax for an instant cure! I guess the Silkolene was too slippery? (It now resides in the gearbox of the wifes Primera!)

millers full synth 75w90 or they do a 80w140 for super protection............most of the synthetic oils should do the job though to be fair.......

I use Castrol Syntrax with no problems cause I can't find Redline products here but many people swears on Redline lightweight shockproof!
