could anyone tell me can MY99 models suffer with boost problems (one minute boost ok then next min boost is down by 2 or 3 psi) if the oil is filled to the max mark on the dipstick ?
thanks, Mike.

Thumbs up

this may be what was up with mine lately, the solenoid is between airbox and top of suspension strut (about 2 inches long and thickness of smarties tube...),to clean out solenoid do this.
1 connect both green and black wires under dash together(this will 'cycle' the solenoid enabling it to be cleaned through...)
2 undu bracket holding solenoid to inner wing and remove pipes to/from solenoid
3 turn on ignition, when you hear the solenoid clicking this is the green light to spray the brake cleaner[that you bought earlier ] into/through solenoid inlet/outlet holes
4 clean pipes through with brake cleaner too, blow them out though afterwards...
5 re-assemble, disconnect wires and hey presto solenoid cleaned

Mine was cutting out for a split second coming onto boost now and again but hasn't done it since i did this.

Cleaned it last night & it looks like it has worked as boost is back to normal.
Thanks for the info, Mike.
