Thinking about getting some forged internals for my EJ20. Where's the best place to source pistons, con rods and possibly a crank, along with the shells etc?
Cheers,
Pete

Lateral Performance
Town End Garage
Roger Clark Motorsport
Mail order from the US.
Various others.
If you're on a tight budget, then Eagle rods from the US, and JE pistons are probably a good value combo.

I mailed Mark A before I posted this thread. He has sent me some prices for Wiseco pistons and forged rods. Seem pretty reasonable but i'll have to check out the Eagle rods and JE pistons. Money is always tight, mainly because my Mrs is too!
Where should I try for the Eagle rods and JE pistons?
Thanks alot.

there was a link on a thread somewhere, but that's the best I can do right now. Google would be your best bet i think. Also try searching on scoobynet in the past 3 months. Stevie turbo got some rods.
They are cheaper than lateral ones, and probably good for a 2.0 engine. But lateral rods can be supplied in all sorts of sizes etc, and probably better suited for silly engines.
If I was you, I would buy the eagle ones (Sorry Mark!) but then I have lateral rods in my engine.
if you can get a good price on the pistons, I would go with Uk supplied ones though, getting exactly what you want from the states isn't always easy when it comes to pistons as there are so many variables.
