APS exhaust?
#1
Does anybody know how much power/torque increase should a APS 2,5" catted system release?
I know that is one of the best catted exhausts all around but have no idea how it performs! It's for a friend with otherwise standard MY01 WRX (except Samco Y hose) and he wonders if it worth the extra money that costs.
Anybody has dynoed his Scoob with the above exhaust?

The APS system is a very good one if you don't want much of an increase in noise, just performance.
I don't know what the improvement would be, and I think it's probably pointless waving them around as it'd be different on every car, every day, on every RR. But I suspect that if he wants the car to stay catted - and not do very many other mods - there's probably not a sensible better choice out there.
I've had one of the APS systems and it is very well put together with quite a noticeable improvement in flow - I suspect this is the 3" one with the 2.5" BB? - which flows very similarly to the 'average' 3" - as in rather better than a 2.5"!
I think, after all that, I'd say 'recommended' (by me, anyway! ).
