Unhappy

On the way home last night, came off the motorway, going back through the box and when changing into 4th at around 4k - 4.5k rpm it crunched slightly not a big crunch but it grabbed my attention. If i took time in changing i.e changed slowly then it didn't do it.
Anybody got any clues !!

If its only done it once I wouldn't worry about it.
This problem is normally accociated with 5th gear when pushing the car. Never heard of it in 4th. If its doing it often maybe the synchro is on its way out

I have learned to live with it on my TypeR. I double clutch when going from 4th to 5th at speed.

There is loads of info on here. Have a search.

Some people change the oil and it cures it. Some people suggest a locking bolt has come loose on the end of the shaft. There are a few other recomendations, but I can't remember them.

Cheers M8,
I changed the oil about eight weeks ago, so i don't think it's that

i wonder if it just got a bit warm, like you say if it carries on but doesn't get any worse i will just live with it.
