Hi All,
I have the knocklink set up with max sensitivity and tested with light taps. i have been getting the occasional amber and backing off straight away. the problem is i can hear what sounds just like det at around 3k and the KL doesnt, is there any reason the knocklink would not show this up ??

Cheers All

its probably not det.

To the other extreme, I have a STI5 TypeR and if I run Optimax with NO octaine booster on a hot day, I get no det at all either. Even when resetting the ECU back to Jap standard (e.g. no learning process)

Different cars perform differently.

If you can lightly tap the block near the mic and light up the LED's on the display (and your mic is situated correctly) then you can trust it.

at 3k it's probably the heatshield rattling away. Must be it's resonance frequency as they all seem to do it around there ...
