Edited to say i didnt realise that there was a known problem with the Knock.

Nothing to add to the debate then!

you missed the fact that the wires on his knocklink were pulled out the connector.

Det kills big ends.

I don't think it's conclusive, John has posted some details somewhere (can't remember where). I think it will be stripped at the weekend, as there is still the risk of oil starvation due to cornering etc (went on handling course).

Det(onation) is by far the most prolific enemy of the Subaru engine.

agree with paul.

should also mention that I added more oil to my car on sunday , when I saw the long sweeping bend that tightened up mid-way on the circuit. did anyone else do this?.
