Don't you get serious knock probs with the scoob? I thought LPG was seriously low octane rating?

I thought LPG has an octane rating of approx 100 RON

There's less energy per unit of fuel burned compared with petrol though.

<daft idea time>

Use a custom ECU map via a Scooby ECU to run optimised timing & fuelling for LPG. Should let you claw back quite a bit of the lost power. And there's a threat of passing an emissions test without cats!

If it isn't done by a registered outfit , then the insurance companys don't want to know .

Seen posts on here b4 about it and I'm sure there are a few people that have had it done.
But that sort of money looks fishy, I thought it was about £1200-1500.

This could be the lpg kit for you to install yourself. If so then that price would be reasonable. I bought one myself for about £300 2 years ago - insatlled it myself and never looked back (this is on an Audi btw and not the scoob). I have also had no probs with insurance, just make sure you get it checked by a registered fitter who will give you a certificate.

that is what i intend to do you dont really loose any power with lpg if it is done right you can run more advance too

a remap to suit lpg would be as good as petrol i very rarely use petrol now

doing my 205 xs next should be really cheap to run then
