Question

just checking the car over and have very slight play on n/s/f wheel. there are no noises yet in use. can the play be taken up in the scoob by nipping it up tighter, or is it replacement time?

on any other car I would say it was fine to leave it , but the car will be getting an **** kicking next weekend.

If the wheel hub nut had worked loose, you should be worried about why. It requires a lot of torque and has a locking tab, so it shouldnt loosen off. Mine worked loose once, but that was because a certain tuning outfit did a sloppy job whilst changing a driveshaft.

thanks moray,

the locking tab was still where it should be and as far as I know has never been touched.

I gave it a wee tighten, hardly moving it,more centreing (sp) the locking tab in the groove and made sure the locking tab was seated better. will keep an eye on it over the coming days/weeks.
