Is this anything to worry about. Only just really started to notice it. Tends to be when your moving down the gears to slow down although it can happen when I'm changing gear on throttle.

Run a full de-cat system. Does this have anything to do with it?

Yes, and it's normal with full de-cats, nothing to worry about.

It won't be doing your cats any good at all, and it's unusual on a catted car, to say the least! What mods are you running?

Mine pops frequently with the PPP sports-cat, Forge VTA and Blitz Nur Spec.

Probably not good then.

Pops are due mainly to the VTA dumpvalve. There are a few topics about it. Anyway, I still have the third cat in place (WRX01) and get pops and bangs when changing at full throttle, or sometimes when releasing throttle and getting the valve dump air.

Also getting pops when putting down gears at fully closed throttle, very low rpm and very gentle engaging of the clutch... not pretty sure about why it happens.

I get great cackles & pops on a P1 d/p, and Heyward/Scott mid section rear box combi.
Also pops if I keep a constant throttle for about 5 secs then change gear quickly (1-3 gears) .
Best is going slowly downhill using engine breaking without any throttle.
So what damage is it really doing?

Used to have a Forge VTA, but since removal, it still pops.

Only mods i have are, ITG panel filter, and TSL firestorm rear box.
